The Tohoku University Fundamental Artificial Intelligence Lab (FaiLab) conducts research in collaboration with the Tohoku University Natural Language Processing (NLP) Research Group. For information on the research group’s themes and policies, please refer to the TOHOKU NLP GROUP.

Why do we research?

大学の研究室に所属してこれから研究を始めるけれど...目的は「成長」
I’m starting my research in a university lab. The goal is growth.
■研究や研究室活動は「教員」のためにやるわけではない ➤➤ 学生は研究室のお客さんでもない し 労働力でもない.
Research and lab activities are not just for the faculty. Students are neither guests nor a workforce.
■研究室/研究活動 = 研究という題材を通して成長する場を提供.
Laboratory and research activities provide a place for growth through research.
■研究 = 未だ世界のだれも取り組んでいない課題に挑戦 ➤➤ 世界中の誰も答えを知らないことを意味する.
Research involves taking on challenges that no one in the world has tackled yet. This means that no one in the world knows the answer.

研究の成功 = 研究完了:そんなに簡単にできるものではない.
Research success means completing the work. It is not easy.
